The Technology & Operations Council Annual Meeting is an annual advisory forum of heads of technology and operations from all over Asia, gathered to share recent valuable experiences in areas as diverse as outsourcing and selection of core banking systems to scaling transactional capabilities to meet new business needs.

They will meet at The Asian Banker Summit this year in a roundtable format to discuss key issues affecting the industry today, and the meeting will be observed by more than 100 delegates. Each discussion may have 4-8 Council members, and the Council will be chaired by John Dahlberg, former Head of Operations & Technology at OCBC Bank, Singapore.

The Council comprises of CIOs, CTOs, COOs and other senior executives responsible for business architecture, technology and operations within their banks, selected to represent the entire range of capabilities amongst leading banks in the region. Sponsors whose representatives serve as speakers or panelists in the Council meeting automatically become Council members for the year.

The purpose of this annual forum is to identify emerging best practices and benchmarks from recent decisions and experiences of peers that Council members – and the senior audience – can use in their respective institutions. The annual meeting is also designed to provide an intensive learning opportunity for Council members as well as to delegates, to examine salient trends that will define technological and operational directions for banks in the year ahead.

The main feature of this Council is that it is the single largest gathering of its kind in the industry and provides a rich repository of shared experience.

The Council meetings will be observed by a substantial audience of very senior executives in financial services, who include CTOs, CIOs, COOs and other influencers who make decisions about technology, operations and business architecture within banks from all over Asia. These delegates will receive a rare insight into the thinking of the region’s leading heads of technology and operations.

The council is supported by rapparteurs, whose record of the meeting will be compiled into a Proceedings Report that can be used for your decision making needs. Council members will also receive a certificate of participation, which adds to their professional prestige.
