While regulatory pressure on managing liquidity risks is valid, as the dark days of the global economic crisis would attest, the more pressing practical problem appears to be how to trade off between meeting liquid capital needs and ensuring profitability in a time of low margins. This forum is designed to discuss practical ideas for applying business models, techniques on an active liquidity position in a commercially viable manner, and discussing the limitations of regulatory requirements.

Improving Practical Cross-Border Coordination in Transactional Fraud
Regulators and bankers from different jurisdictions will discuss how they can better collaborate to address areas such as credit card and transaction-related fraud. This session is designed to come up with working suggestions on areas of difficulty, in addition to discussing the BIS’ report and recommendations on cross border bank resolutions with a view of strengthening the bank-regulator feedback loop on a multi-jurisdiction basis.
