The evaluation for the Excellence Awards is an ongoing process throughout the whole year. The Asian Banker will continuously identify and engage banks that innovate their markets with new products, services, operations, channels, and technology.

Stage I: Independent Review Country Awards
December 2011 - January 2012 |
Each complete submission is reviewed and scored by a team of analysts. Institutions deemed eligible to proceed to the next stage are notified. |

Stage II: Announcement of Nominee List for Product/ Process/ Special/ Awards
13 January 2012 |
Based on the submissions in the product, process or special awards, our team, together with our international panel of judges, will nominate up to five candidates in each of the 24 categories.
All submissions automatically qualify for best retail bank by country. |

Stage III: Interviews for Product and Country Awards
January/ February 2012 |
Based on the independent review, our team of analysts will interview institutions that we deem most competitive in their respective markets. Interviews will be conducted with the head of retail banking, as well as heads of product/ process groups, where applicable. |

Stage IV: Selection and Notification of Award Winners
17 February 2012 |
Results are made and ratified by a panel of international referees. |
