This meeting is part of an ongoing series of Asian Banker Research briefings taking place in major financial centres across Asia. This particular briefing looks at the first and second order effects of the global financial crisis on Pakistan and applicable lessons from earlier crises in East Asia and Scandinavia, with a focus presentation on the customer centric transformation of channels and payment systems.

An analysis of the escalation of the global financial crisis and the impact on banks in Pakistan. This session looks at where Pakistan’s banks currently stand relative to their Asian peers and how they are prepared to weather the severe downturn. What transferable lessons from the Asian and Scandinavian crises of the 1990s are there, and what is the role of scenario planning in making key executive decisions for priority business and operational areas?

Customer-centric Transformation of Channels & Payments Systems

How can banks address different segments of the market while having integrated payment systems that process payments efficiently, thus improving customer experience and stickiness?
